one day with my dog was a similar tool that gave the same result being compassion and love for all beings animals included.

I literally felt as if my soul and entire being melded with that of my dog and I actually for a number of seconds existed as my dog Maximus. For that time I saw through his eyes and felt the compassion he had for me. No matter how I yelled at him or chastized him for perceived wrongdoing he always came to me in love and sat at my feet or ran to greet me when I arrived. He made me realize how much compassion I should bear in my heart.

This is truly a gift. When you receive a gift and accept it you do not hold on to it and likewise you do not hide it you simply use it. You have it, do not become attached it will naturally expand.
