I too have had problems with Acne for the past 10 years, but it's only within the last year that it has gotten as bad as yours. About 10 months ago I had horrible erruptions with large pustules all over my face and neck. Not only is it socially debilitating, but it physically hurts. My skin is looking a lot better now but I have tried so many different things and I know how frustrating it is when things don't work. It seems like some people have already given you some great advice, but I will put my two cents in as well.
I think someone mentioned something about blood Sugar levels. This has been key for me. I tried a raw vegan diet and it made my skin worse. In fact, everytime I did a cleanse my skin got worse, but then it never got better. I have seen a lot of improvement by following Dr. Mercola's advice and the principles of Weston A. Price. I think it's key to eat protein first (organic free range chicken, grass fed beef, or whatever) followed by veggies. I have a great naturopathic doctor and he's been working with me to balance blood Sugar levels. Eating protein with every meal helps to do this.
As far as topically, I have used proactive to help clear up my skin while I try to figure out what is going on internally. It is the only thing that seems to work for me, but it is very drying. I use the proactive cleanser and toner then moisturize with coconut oil. I don't know if you've tried using coconut oil yet, but it feels great especially on dry skin. I have also used castor oil on my skin which has helped, but I like coconut oil better. My skin has never felt so smooth and it's not as oily as it used to be despite putting the oil on it.
I also include coconut oil in my diet which I think helps. I think Cod Liver Oil is the best to take for omega 3's because you get vitamin A and D which is good for the skin.
It sounds silly but meditating and envisioning yourself with clear skin can help. Also, exercise and try to keep stress levels down. I find that the more you stress over the problem, the worse it gets. That was the hardest thing for me. I had to force myself not to look in the mirror and obsess over how horrible my skin looked.
I don't know if any of this will work for you but I wish you the best. I know how difficult it can be, but try and stay positive because your skin WILL get better. Don't give up!
