Usually means water only, but can also mean a salt solution. Plain water can remain in the colon and be absorbed by your system. A saline solution (1 teaspsoon per quart) is balanced to the body and results in a more complete evacuation of the injected volume. A little more time spent on the potty, but little cramping.
