The first few times I sunbathed with iodine and oil (boy that takes me back to my teenage years), I did get slightly pink which was normal for that amount of time, at that time of day, with no sunning prior this season. Today I mixed signicficantly more iodine in my oil and I can say I was out twice as long, same time of day, no sunning in the last two weeks, I am nutty brown with no pink at all! For me, there seems to be something to this, but only if you use a fair amount of iodine.
