But isn't the need for Iodine greater during pregnancy? We have so much more pollutants, etc. competing for the Iodine today than a hundred years ago. We all know the RDA of Iodine is way too low.

Is your concern that taking iodine greater than the RDA would cause too much detoxification, which would be harmful to a growning fetus?
