Hi, I also use Cayenne in my Sunflower Oil. If I use too much, it makes my gums hurt too. So I cut back and it's better. You didn't say if they hurt aside from using the Cayenne, but if they are, it's probably a good idea to go to a dentist. Surely you can afford one visit for a checkup for oral health? It would be worth it to rule out any obvious problems that might not even be expensive to rectify. He/she might recommend a water pik, or perhaps some other health routine.
