I just went though the same thing, the difference is my Mirena fell out in February and I found out I was pregnant on Memorial Day. Me and my honey were so excited, I already have two children from a previous marriage and am now 30 years old. So not getting any younger we decided we wanted to start on our family. I have always had healthy pregnancies so this one really shocked me. I had a feeling in the beginning that something was wrong but I tried to ignore it. I went in for the blood test and the first one was great, I went in two days later to find out my progesterone levels had dropped. They put me on suppositories and made me come back that next Monday and my levels had risen to a good level. Well I started spotting at 5w5d and went in for an sonogram, the baby had a heartbeat, it was a little slow which they said could just be cause it was so small. Then they set me up for another sonogram two weeks later. It was my fiancés birthday and I was so excited for him to hear the heartbeat and we found out that the baby stopped developing at 6w. I went in two days later for a D&C. It was so heart breaking, the only thing that has pulled me through is the fact that we are going to try again. The doctors told me that 1 out of 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage, but I just couldn’t get it out of my head that it has something to do with the Mirena. I had it for 3 years so it pumped a lot of hormones into my body. I hope all went well with your surgery. Im glad you are able to make peace with it. I wish you and your family lots of luck!
