I'm not advocating this position, just exposing the article for discussion. Also - it says glycine causes aluminum to spill from the brain and dmsa and dmps will not chelate it. EDTA, however, will. Perhaps after someones mercury is all but gone, glycine might help to finish the job, however, you would have to combine EDTA with it because of the Aluminum. Here is a study that seems to suggest that combining EDTA and DMSA has some advantates, including lack of redistribution.
