I have to say I've never seen so many untruths and strawmen in a single column before.

Chemotherapy "scientifically proven to be worthless"? Tell that to Lance Armstrong. Or one of the many children cured of leukemia. Or long-term Breast Cancer survivors.

Statin drugs "scientifically proven to be worthless" in preventing cardiovascular deaths? Where does he get this stuff?

Science says that all drugs are good and all vitamins are bad? Just the other day a new study suggested that vitamin D supplementation had value in preventing cancer.

There's unhealthy profit motivation and defects to be found in pharmaceutical industry-sponsored research - but Science has a powerful record of being self-correcting.

What has the author of this piece ever done to find treatments and cures for disease?

Nothing.
