Candigest is like Candizyme, Candex, and a few others that use enzymes to "eat" candida. They work, albeit more slowly than regular herbal antifungals, and their claims that candida cannot become resistant seem true in my experience. I have found Candizyme to be the most potent of the lot, but have not heard of Candigest "Plus". I also have liver issues, and while this type of antifungal is the easiest on the liver, and the only kind I can tolerate, it is NOT 100% die-off free, at least it was not for me. But, it was still manageable for me. I also got rid of it once to have it return, and the second time around it is harder to get rid of. But, I have been making great strides with concentrating on probiotics, taking lots more than I used to - a few times per day rather than just morning and night, a stronger blend (50 Billion organisms per pill instead of just a few million), and eating cultured veggies and saurkraut by Rejuvenative Foods whcih contain tons of natural probiotics. This last thing is by far the most helpful thing I have ever done to heal candida - I am almost well. If I do eat a sweet, I do not flare. If I eat many sweets, I will flare, but it just goes away on its own after I stop eating it for a few days. I have chosen not to behave like this, though, as I just want to continue to get well, but it was an interesting observation.
