I took a home pregnancy test this morning and I think it is positive (the line was very faint). We were trying to conceive for a couple of years and have been unable. I just turned 44. I've been on Lugol's for 2 weeks now. If I am pregnant, it is because of the iodine. I started taking it several days after implantation would have been. I think I've been having an implantation problem.

EDIT: I meant several days after ovulation (4 days).

I think the rise in temperature has partly been because of conceiving but I do know that the first time I took it, my temp rose 3/10 of a degree. The temps kept rising with an occational fall. I was concerned that Iodine might be keeping me from having a period like some of the ladies here as it was late.

I've been on 9 drops of Lugol's up 'til yesterday. Something inside me tells me to up it to 15 drops. That's a big jump. Should I increase slowly or go with what my body is telling me?

One thing I noticed when taking the test and peeing in a little cup is that I was able to stop my flow of urine. I hadn't been able to do that before! Imagine what these new found muscles will do for sex.

EDIT...that ability to stop the flow is an exageration. It did stop that time taking the test but hasn't been as good since, although better.
