yikes, I am originally from CA too, but I can tell you, six years in TX is something you NEVER get used to.  Not when you are used to hilly, and green, and COOL.

At least you are in Austin.  The music makes up for a lot.  I was just north of Dallas.  I hated it.  I would take three showers a day and never felt dry.

Houston has FLYING cockroaches!  FLYING!!

(I better quit messin with Texas.  There are probably swat teams of Texas-lovers aiming at my head as we speak.)
