In keeping with the excellent request to report Iodine experiences,
I wanted to share my husband's surprise results on Iodoral.
As some of you know, at Breast Cancer Choices, we are conducting an Iodine Investigation Project on the relationship between Iodine and breast disease. Because I come into contact with so many iodine-taking breast patients, I often hear first-hand reports of good effects completely unrelated to the breast: lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, better energy, less depression, ovarian cysts disappearing, and fibroids regressing. But, here's a story from my own house.
My husband has been on thyroid meds for 20 years. He also had been diagnosed with age-related hearing loss. He wasn't completely deaf but he was always saying "what?"
So we made an appointment to have him fitted for a hearing aid which was going to cost over a thousand dollars and is not covered by health insurance.
He had been taking 25 mg of Iodoral (for thyroid reasons) since we started our research and complained he noticed no change whatsoever. At my prodding, he raised the dose to 3 Iodoral (37.5 mg), hoping that would boost his thyroid.
Meanwhile, the hearing aid person phoned to postpone the appointment several weeks because she was having surgery.
Boing! After a few feeks on three Iodoral tablets, his hearing completely returned. Of course, he cancelled the appointment for the $$$ hearing aid.
I asked our holistic doctor if he had ever heard of any relationship between iodine and hearing. He said the famous thyroid author, Dr. Broda Barnes, had written of the connection between hypothyroidism and hearing problems. I'm sure not all hearing loss is thyroid-related but in my husband's case, it sure was.
Anyway, I wanted to share this case with you and thank the curezoners again for your take-no-prisoners, revolutionary work. You are helping change the world.
Lynne
