GZR your post is essentially right.  The problem is that you have always been a bit of an apologist for ML.  You have shown an ability to creatively interpret ML’s usually incoherent and invariable incorrect posts in a way that “fixes” his errors.  Frankly I enjoy your thoughtful posts; it’s too bad other ML supporters don’t learn from you.

Oxidative phosphorylation is not “electro-magnetic energy”, these are two different phenomena and should not could not be confused for each other.  It is a good attempt to make sense of the nonsensical, but if falls short of the reality.

You continue the creative interpretation by linking the DEC to electromagnetism.  Again this is wrong.  When we talk about electromagnetic energy what we really mean is radiation (X-ray, UV, visible, microwave, radio, cosmic, etc.), this is vastly different from the currents that was used on the cancer cells of the Ciria-Quevedo study.  Electromagnetic energy is not the same as electric energy.  Making the leap from ‘some cancer cells are susceptible to electricity’ to cancer cells have their own frequency is unwarranted and premature.  It could just be (more likely I would say) that because cancer cells are more metabolically active they are more sensitive to electric currents.

You are arguing several unrelated things and using them as evidence that ML is right.  I have already suggested a way for ML to prove he is right, it would only take the equipment found in any decent high school science department.

While I appreciate your two links, I don’t see a way in which they could help me reduce my grocery bill by using radiation.  I honestly read through all 61 pages but I did not find what you alluded to.  Perhaps I missed it, could tell me what page I can find it? Being an active runner/cyclist/swimmer I was already familiar with many of these therapies both from technical perspective and as a user.  Personally I was not impressed by the mention of electrons in regards to mitochondria.  It is what one would expect, the ETC is part of the whole ATP/ADP energy conversion.

I stand by my response to ML's "For each organ may have specific needs of Electro-magnetic Energy to keep that organ of the body Healthy, which may require specific amounts of Different Alkaline Minerals!"  What you write about each organ requiring and storing a different profile of elements is obvious; this is not what he writes.  You keep superimposing your knowledge of biology to make sense of the nonsensical and you excuse incorrect assertions about “Electro-magnetic Energy” this is vastly different from the electrical charge you are referring to.

I take issue with what you wrote: “I do not think he stated that "alkaline minerals" were the cause, but that a lack of alkaline minerals can lead to the diabetic condition”

Now you know full well that is not true.  He repeatedly states that all “sickness and disease” is caused by a “lack of Alkaline Minerals.”  He has repeated this hundreds of times for every disease he has ever touched upon (without ever providing proof) and as someone who is a regular on his forum you know this.  Normally I appreciate your opposition, but for you to say this is disappointing and deceptive.   Just to make it clear ML truly believes that lack of “Alkaline Minerals” causes diabetes – as well as cancer, acne, restless legs, dandruff, dry eyes, erectile dysfunction, vaginal dryness, common colds……

I would not be one to oppose a more balanced diet, and I have touched upon this subject from the perspective of simple sugars and the effect on insulin, GF, IGFs, insulin sensitivity.  I have also provided detailed explanations on the benefits of complex (not complexed) carbohydrates over simple sugars.

I will repeat what I wrote:
"What if you eat “JUNK” food and supplement with the “needed Alkaline Minerals”? Since ML suggests that all diseases can be traced to a lack of them, then logically you could eat junk, supplement and never get sick. Now, we all know that this is not true, which makes ML’s idea about the cause of diseases sheer nonsense."

ML tells us that a lack of “Alkaline Minerals” is the cause of all disease.  Then if we just supply our bodies with the “needed Alkaline Minerals”, then it seems that we could eat junk food without worry.  As long as we are providing our bodies with the “needed Alkaline Minerals” then we are protected against all diseases.

I wholeheartedly agree that the diet should be the primary source of nutrition and I posted an article on the very subject of nutrient absorption in diet over supplements - complete with the obligatory disagree vote.  While I enjoy the products of my local farmers, I would not give up my love of world cuisine – you just can get good durian fruit in these parts. Though I disagree on the reason why we can’t over-supplement with food, I believe it is because we could never eat enough to cause damage –except maybe on Vitamin A from liver.  I could take 10 iron pills in on shot or eat 20 pounds of meat; one is far easier than the other.

I agree with what you write about “we are all affected by the nutritional intake of your ancestors”, I believe I posted this link a while back though I can’t find it – maybe in the evolution forum? [ BTW if you can get your hand on the whole article it makes for fascinating reading]  And there have been several supporting studies to confirm this, as well as related studies on related subjects.   Of course there is a limit to what we could expect to accomplish with diet alone, I think you are taking an over-optimistic approach to the matter.  After all what you call sick and disease may just be life and survival for another species, it is also than many of the diseases we experience are the unfortunate legacy of our evolution and we are pretty much stuck with them.

For an opposing view, it was a great response GRZ.  It is a refreshing change from the typical stupid, jargon filled, tirades I normally get.  If only they were all like this.
