They pull them and clean the cavitation.  You get a temporary partial to wear 2 to 3 months.  Then, you can get a permanent partial or bridge.  If your Dentist tells you that you need a root canal, they tell you that when the tooth is absessed (dead or dying) or they think it will become abcessed of they try to fill it or crown it.  Sometimes none of these are an accurate assessment.  Some do it for money, still others just do it when it is not necessary.  So, it is best to get a 2nd opinion by a Biologic Dentist who does not believe in root canals.
