yep, first drop, except of course for the time when I was a teen and we put it into our baby oil.

I did use betadine douches when I had a baby 23 years ago, and in Feb of this year re: hys. complications.

Not sure how much is absorbed w/ those ... maybe about the same as putting it under your tongue.
