One of the personal benefits of having the ability to actually feel compassion for others is that it keeps your mind (not just heart) in touch with reality. Being able to feel genuine compassion and sorrow about another person's misfortunes prevents "pseudo-rationality". Because of it's hypnotic effect, I realize it works for you somo, but it was disrespectful and inconsiderate to the original poster that was seeking effective and practical help, not fairy tale poetry.
