This is an interesting question ... I would swear that it's done the same thing to me ... but I almost chalk it up to all I've been through with doctor's because of my symptoms.

Me saying "I'm sick" or "I have this symptom" and them saying "There's nothing wrong with you".

That alone caused me major anxiety and panic attacks early on (before I knew what it was). Plus, your body is going through so much with no explaination and it kind of turns your world on end.

I, too, find myself worrying over friends and family ... and situations more these days. It has gotten better since my culture actually showed Candida and now I have a name to put with my symptoms.
