Very good INFO! Oil oregano also used for allergy too. Always test yourself for an allergy to whatever oil (Specially those with an aroma, perfume, fragance type smell) before using it by putting a bit on the arm and waiting 15-20 minutes to see if it swells up. If it doesnt swell up you may be ok to use it. If it does swell up then you know you react to it and should stay away from it and not use it.

The plus factor: If you are allergic to fragrances or scents, and find one that you do not react to, it may protect you from allergys to other scents by using it.

So let the battle of the scents begin!

An additional note of interest below.

See the following of how the mouth is tied into the smell system - Could their be a relationship to hayfever allergy?

Loss of smell and taste may result from polyps in the nasal or sinus cavities, hormonal disturbances, or dental problems. They can also be caused by prolonged exposure to certain chemicals such as insecticides and by some medicines.

See this interesting article about cloves/eugenol/tobacco/smoking relationship.

Always have some allergy medicine or an epi-pen on hand when testing yourself for an allergy. And a friend who will know what to do if you need them.
