Hello 81167

Here's what my ND had/has me doing. (PCOS/insulin resistance helped me gain 85 pounds in just over 2 years...not sure if I shared that). NOTHING helped me drop weight until this...

Here's what I eat...(typed in from my doctor's paperwork)

Fresh sliced deli counter meats (chicken, beef, turkey, pork, lamb)
Seafood
Fresh veggies (canned has sugar)
Salads
Dried beans (black, red and kidney)
Eggs (boiled, poached, scrambled or fried with virgin coconut oil)
Lemons/Limes
Avacados
Fresh salsa (not processed) some grocery stores have it in the cooler areas.
Black Olives
Nuts (read the label...the more natural the better) I get salted but no flavors/seasonings...sugar is hidden in there.
Nut butters..MMmmm
Virgin coconut oil/col pressed olive oil
Perrier and flavored waters (no Sugar or fake sweetners added)
Coffee and all teas (no artificially decaffed or fake sweetners)

I ate this for 2 wks. It wasn't too hard at all. I drank loads of water and kept cans of almonds at work and at home (boiled eggs too) if I needed quick protein.

You shouldn't get hungry if you follow this: (if you do get the munchies...be prepared with something on hand!)

I go to the movies alot and can't eat much that they sell...so I take my bottle of water and nuts or fresh fruit..etc.

At each meal...EAT your protein FIRST. This cuts down on overeating carbs. A regular meal for me would be a pouch of tuna, avacado, garden tomatoes, strawberries. My snacks (if I need then are a handful of nuts, apples...all sorts of options).

And you can look up all sorts of recipes on line that follow this Sugar free and yeast free eating. My doc gave me a cookbook so if I wanted to...I could make my own ketchup...etc.

AFTER 2 WEEKS I ADDED BACK IN:

FRUIT!!!!!
Butter (only real butter)!!!!!! Cause the fake stuff...messes with a woman's hormones (so does canola oil)! Nice huh...where did I read that? An article at
http://www.newstarget.com

Avoid the following:

No milk or milk products (cheese, yogurt, sour cream, ice cream, milk based dressings)

No bread or bakes goods (cereals, crackers, bisquits, rolls, flour tortillas
No grains (Corn, wheat, rye, millet, rice, barley
No pasta
No potatoes
No Mushrooms
No Sugar (honey or syrup)
No artificial sweetners (splenda, sweet n low...etc)
No soft drinks of ANY kind
No alcohol
No vinegar (pickles, green olives, salad dressings, soy sauce, mustard, mayo, ketchup, salsa)
No shortening, margarine or partially hydrogenated oils

In the first few days I felt better...my constant fatigue and head pains were gone. Then my body started to crave healthy stuff. I am on several other supplements because my immune system was shot...I would recommend taking a whole food multivitamin. I had 4 coworkers that were so impressed (lost 10 pounds and 4 pant sizes in 30 days!) that they are now eating this way with me. You look at the grocery store differently. I look at a coke and think of how that messes with my blood sugar levels but also how it messes up some important connectors in your brain...I don't want that. The less processed we eat the better. Most people (I used to) choose to ignore that fact until they are faced with majoe health problems. Is it possible to do this 100 percent of the time...maybe, by a rediculously determined person. But I ate ice cream last night. And enjoyed it. :) But I also know all the other bad things about dairy and I will limit it.

ANYONE can do this if I can...you just have to care about yourself enough to do it. My doc said...once you get to the weight you want to be at...just eat that way during the week and allow yourself some indulgences on the weekend. If you've ever watched the reality show WORKOUT on BRAVO network...that's exactly what the gym owner and trainers do... no sugar during the week and eat some on the weekends.

Hope this helps... :) It's not really as hard as it sounds...try it for 30 days and see for yourself.
AP
