I am menopausal rather than peri-menopausal. Had my last cycle about 6 years ago. I have been taking quite a bit of Lugol's since march. I had menstrual spotting this month :( but, I am hoping that it is simply a case of the Iodine doing some housecleaning and correction of undesirable cells in my uterus rather than anything starting up again (which I absolutely do not want-- cycles were horrible when I had them, heavy and severe cramping).
