Yeah, I would like a fermentation crock myself. I saw them at a lower price on Ebay. What I used is a two gallon bucket I bought from the hardware store! I did not use a lid, instead I put a large salad plate on top of the veggies. I then placed a gallon of water on top of the plate to help release the gas and brine. I topped it off with a clean kitchen towel to keep the dust an flies out. When the week of fermenting was up I transfered the shrunken veggies to a gallon bucket with a lid, and have it in my frig waiting for me.
