Hi Leeann,
Bless her heart...She sounds like a trooper! Being in college and dealing with this is a huge accomplishment in my book! :) I called my mother crying about PCOS last fall telling her there was NO WAY I could have carried this diagnosis at a younger age (I am 35!) I am so sad she had little luck with her ND...I just started seeing one in Houston (www.hotzehwc.com) and for the first time in 3 years I am FINALLY losing weight! People fly in and see them all the time...The weight is dropping off of me! PCOS/insulin resistance helped me gain over 85 pounds in 2.5 years. I was able to lose weight eating Sugar and yeast free...I will do that until I get back to my normal weight. Then I will maintain Sugar free/yeast free during the week and allow myself some indulgences on weekends. Sugar is in everything!!!! This will turn in to diabetes if not controlled now. I am guessing your daughter has this too. I cannot have children thanks to PCOS but I pray that your daughter has her fertility when her time comes. I have a few friends with PCOS who were able to...but it took a few years.

was a great comfort to me when I first was diagnosed as there are loads of threads/sections...medicines, natural therapies, do you have this symptom....etc. It's nice to talk to others...and there are a nice number of mothers in there asking as well.
You are miles ahead of everyone however...I think curezone is fantastic...my jaw hit the floor when I saw that Iodine can dissolve ovarian cysts and breast cancer!!!
Good luck reading...post any questions you have in the Iodine Forum (there are some WONDERFUL people over there!!) and never stop learning...
