Apparently they are very sensitive machines and seem at times to be able to pick up on things that obvious stuff like xrays can miss. Sometimes it can be a tiny thing that can cause very big problems in the entire body. I belive that most problems systemically can be caused dentally, but so often that is the last place anybody looks (if at all).
