I have found that taking large amounts of elemental iodine require more alkalizing drinks, foods and baths. I can't use the salt protocols due to being sensitive so I turned to Moreless. I feel I have better luck detoxing when I am alkaline.

It helps me be able to be on the higher dosage so I can complete the process of eliminating the less desirable halogens. Since no one really knows when their body is finished with this process, I have decided to use the higher amounts for 3-4 months and then either supplement with 2 drops of Lugol's or good quality kelp (if I can find it) after that. If I feel I need to detox more halogens I can always try again. I feel so much better.

I'm so sorry you feel hurt by the iodine. I was very frightened of the detoxing effects (long term) but once I got past all of that and later on tried Moreless protocol, it was smooth sailing. I have been trying to learn iridology because it gives me a heads up when something is not working well in my body. I did have a bad sign in the beginning but I finally realized that all those bad halogens being released back into my bloodstream acidified my body. Once they moved out with help of alkalizing, I didn't have any more problems. Perhaps Moreless has a better explaination of this than I do.
