I was perusing the posts about "painting" one's face with iodine, using oil underneath, when a really interesting childhood memory popped up.

DOES ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER the days (i lived in the south then), when we would take a bottle of baby oil, pour in some iodine, and use that to sunbathe? The Iodine supposedly gave us the 'glow' we wanted.

I can't believe I just now remember this. I wonder if that is why I felt so great from about age 13 to 23, then stopped feeling so great after that.
