Just fyi, it's chloride in sodium chloride that assists in removal of the bromine/ide from the bloodstream. Many posters have indicated that potassium chloride and magnesium chloride *should* be just as effective.

I'm also very leery of anything sold as "salt" that has had the sodium chloride removed? By standard definition, salt IS sodium chloride. How one could remove both the sodium and the chloride and still sell something as "salt" is totally beyond my comprehension.
