The Asians will pay $700+ for a pound of real wild American Ginseng. So in theory, if it is cheap, then it is garden grown like a vegetable.

For the $$$$$ I can't say the wild is that much better than the home grown! I have plenty of wild, so I have never used the home grown, but still don't see why it would be so bad. Now the crap you buy as a liquid in a bottle, YES, that is being risky, we have no clue whats in those foriegn bottles.
