first I look at the source and say...I don't completely trust the cdc but they have a valid point. Secondly I don't make my own for the reason that I would not feel comfortable.

The process must be done carefully as to not contaminate it. I feel comfortable buying it because they have to abide by strict guidelines to sell it to the public.
THis is a quote from the article:

"FDA has evaluated the practices of the commercial producers of the Kombucha mushroom and has found no pathogenic organisms or hygiene violations "

I agree people who do not know how to brew it should not.
I have no time to learn how properly or feel the need to do it so I buy it from one of the approved brewers.
I have been drinking it now for 3 months and it makes me feel great.

Im sure the cdc might have something to say about wormwood.
