Hiya, Cyane!

Two other points to consider.

One, you say you eat fruits and vegetables but not every day. If you eat at least one large salad a day (or a mix of raw vegetables) it will definitely increase your bms. You need more roughage in your diet! Btw, this is in addition to cereals like bran flakes.

Next, for the liver to change your bms, I think you need to do several, enough for the biliary tubes to clear a bit so more bile can reach the intestines in sufficient quantities to aid in complete digestion. I think, as you do more and more liver flushes, you will see improvement in your bm frequency. Just my thoughts.

In addition to your present diet, there are two supplements you can take to improve digestion, which will help improve the health of the colon and ensure that food moves out rather than sticking to the walls: Probiotics and vegetable-source food enzymes. Probiotics help increase the number and variety of healthy bacteria in the gut, and enzymes help the liver and pancreas in the digestion of food. Probiotics with FOS (a kind of healthy Sugar which feeds the healthy bacteria) is the best type.

A food source supplement which is excellent for both fiber and omega-3 fatty acids is flax seed. The cheapest way is to get whole flaxseed (organic if possible) and grind it yourself once a week or more often. Two tablespoons gives you 6 grams of fiber, 3,500 mg of Omega-3 and 850 mg of Omega-6 EFA (Essential Fatty Acids). Of course, you could take more per day if you like. Most diets are deficient in Omega-3 while being over-supplied with Omega-6 oils (info from Udo). So, you'd be improving your diet in two ways! You can grind the seeds in a coffee grinder and keep the seeds and ground powder in the fridge. Ground flaxseed is only good for one week before going rancid.

If you want to improve the condition of oils in the liver (a lot of oils in the liver are stored or re-used and so old and stagnant) try consuming good oils in your diet (raw, not cooked!). They will enter the liver through the blood after being digested, and once fresh oils are available, old oils can be dumped into the colon. This will help to rejuvenate your liver and improve digestion, which will help in your goal to increase the frequency of bms. Healthy oils, in ground up or whole form, are provided by flax seed oils (probably the most cost-efficient one), sesame seeds and oils (raw, not roasted), olive oil, hemp oil, and to a lesser degree, coconut oil and any of the nut oils (except maybe peanut oil, because of the possibility of the oil containing aflatoxins, which are implicated in cancer of the liver). Fish oils are excellent too, particularly salmon, tuna and mackerel.

An easy way to add flaxseed and healthy oils to your diet is to sprinkle flax seed powder on your salads and mix 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil (possibly mixed with another oil of your choice) with the equivalent in apple cider vinegar, with some spices like Italian mix or plain basil, to change the flavour. Tastes great!

Just my thoughts!

Hope this helps!
