My dentist showed me how to hold my son's head and basically "still" him until he complied
I tried it he HATED it
I, being young and insecure, kept it up because my dentist stressed all the tooth issues at hand
I'd never do it again
NEVER, if she hates it
take a break and reintroduce it later

A cavity is worth all the emotional distress that forced toothbrushing will engender
Just my opinion but if I had anything to do over- potty training, toothbrushing, the alphabet, any one thing and all
The answer for me is wait and reintroduce
20/20 hindsight
