I couldnt feel my strings and I went to the doctor and he could not find them either. Today I went for an ultrasound and she didnt see anything. I still have to wait for my doctor to look over the results but its most likely mine fell out. I had my mirena for over a year and never felt the strings so I have no clue when it could have fallen out. I would just ask your doctor to be safe.
