Hi Soulfulsurvivor,
Yes you are right about labs making mistakes, last year I had my blood drawn to rule out diabetes and the result came back "diabetic" and I asked my dr. how diabetic am I, he said "100%". I freaked out, bought the blood monitor and strips, etc., then took another blood test a month later and it was completely NORMAL. I don't have diabetes! Then I asked the Dr. when I should take another glucose test and he said, "you don't" Why did my dr. tell me I had diabetes 100% when I didn't?
With this test I was just shocked to hear that my triglicerides came out 539, I thought "am I one pizza away from a heart atack?", if cholesterol is really the culprit for them. I have always eaten relative healthy and kept my weight down, so I figured IF my diet was even 1/4 of what most americans eat daily, I would BE DEAD!
Anyway, you are right, I have another appointment next week and I'm going to request another blood test. With the first one I told my Dr. I hadn't fasted for 12 hour that are required. I ate a snack a around 12:00-1:00 am, that takes an hour or two to digest, and I drank some juice a hour before the test, my dr. just said, "that's ok", so maybe because of that I have false readings, my blood was taken after my last snack was 12-1:00 am, I will post with my new results.
I have already started altering my diet and added more exercise. I plan on quitting smoking as soon as I am out, I hope I don't fail.
I think I'll wait until I do another Liver Flush (when my numbers get back to relative normalcy, or the correct number is revealed) because of all the contraversy about the stones and bile reabsorbing on their way down adding more cholesterol, therefore, increasing your numbers after a flush, if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks again for your suggestion :)
