Uny...did you see my post above on how I can't get a difinitive answer on alumina filters??? Something smells fishy about them so I avoid. You can have these bone char filters made without the alumina ...Curt's is. Now where the bone char comes from is the next question.....
We didn't drill down that deep as it's a never ending hole of problems.

Our house drinking water is glass bottled from Arkansas. It's a total ridiculous waste of gas to buy water trucked into Atlanta from Arkansas but it's the only source I could find of clean non-plastic stored water. I have 5 five gallon glass bottles delivered a month and use it for all cooking and drinking. We're going to add a whole house bone char/charcoal filter for bathing and washing...to the tune of mucho buckos.

The whole water situation makes me sick I'm so frustrated with it. Just leave the d*mn fluoride out and I can deal with the rest with regular filters.
