Sorry, I wrote my post above before I read this one, and I see now that you were not directing your anger towards me.

Like I said in my response in the LOL thread, I just thought the joke itself was funny, not that the subject at hand was funny.

Thanks for saying my opinion was well-put. :) :) It may be PC, but it is also my own individual opinion.

No, I have not researched the subject, just live in the world and observe my surroundings - and see no signs I can identify as an atheist conspiracy, which is why I was hoping for some examples. What I do wonder is, if indeed there is some organized atheistic movement somewhere, if it was not born out of a backlash against the Christian right wing agenda.

I never think of supporting the rights of others as a means of diminishing my own rights. I believe that the answer to world problems lies in all segments being empowered.
