That's funny. I have always related to that song as if it were mine, ever since it first came out, and I always took it to mean literally if the one you love dosent love you, don't just sit around, go be with someone else, but perhaps that is because I lost the one I loved the most, so that is what it always felt like I was doing.

I guess we interpret songs according to our needs ....or unner inclinations...
