Wow wombat...so cool to hear your story!!!!
I also have osteo in a ankle...amazing huh. I've got a serious lack of cartilage from a break during my teen years that grew wrong back making a biomechanical problem. But so far Ive avoided any surgery like the plague...now on year 15 since an ankle fusion or replacement was recommended. It hurts sometimes but I'm holding off as long as possible.
There's some interesting stuff on cartilage regeneration on some other sites ...basically using lots of gelatin and that also keeps your skin looking fabulous.
I do it with bone broths and gelatin added to all raw dairy smoothies.
Amazing...you've got a really great story too! I'm only in the baby stages of learning about TCM. I sure love what I'm learning..really starting to see major pieces all fit together nicely. Orlee's work and the stuff on highly reactive rocks is what finally made me look more at energy in the body and decide on this course.
You are so lucky to live with lots of water and land! We're in a tiny little house in the suburbs of Atlanta...the little house is fine ...suburbs of Atlanta well it's okay for now. My hubby is a java architect so we need to be in a high tech center for now...plus my family is all southern. And now that I'm back in school we're stuck for awhile.
With fruit trees and berry bushes you would love listening to Dan Skow's brix tape....if you order anything from acres order his. I love that man...in fact he's one of hte few authors I made sign his book for me!!! He's a county vet and owns a company built around enriching soils with minerals.
Last summer I took my mom to Florida to a high brix plant seminar. Dan Skow talks about this stuff but the one I took was from Alexander Beddoe. His book is

btw.....how in the world did you get dengue fever? GOod lord...Where'd you pick that up?
