You are like me-- a hopeless romantic. But that is great. Life can be more romantic than you can imagine or dream of. But in the end you can (if you really want to) end up in a state where you are totally in love no matter what happens around you. That means it does not matter who you are with. You are old enough to remember that song "If you can't be with the one you love, then love the one you are with."

In this state you can feel more love than all the people in the world combined. In other words you can feel infinite love, perfect peace, limitless happiness and total contentment. You can be in love with life. This is the purpose of human life. Read this short article called What is Enlightenment. But this is not till death do you part, but it is forever. When you do feel that love that you descibe, it must end since one or both of you will die. Do you know how much that hurts? The pain is worse than what happened on 9/11.

When it comes to romantic love with other people, the real story of what is really going on is much more beautiful than what people think. That is when it is not just a love of bodies like animals have but it is a love between souls. Kahlil Gibran says "But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks to another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips."
