There is this formula; Garlic, burdock seeds and glycerin. I am going to try and make that one this week, but I was thinking. If I made a tincture out of it, then I wouldn't be needing the glycerin right?

And how can all the tinctures people drink not be damaging the body cause of the alcohol. Is that the reason why you can only take a few drops?

I want to compare these to, I Either use the formula described in the book, where I can drink a teaspoon 3 to 4 times daily or I make a tincture and not knowing how much to take, cause I probably don't know how strong the tincture is.

My question is, is a tincture superior to glycerin even if we know it contains alcohol?

The reason I am asking is I don't want to think about it every time I make a formula, shall I use alcohol or glycerin. I am not even making a formula and I am already going nuts here.
