yes, seasonal is the way to go. thats why i love the farmers market, its everything that is in season NOW. i was amazed recently. i was buying these carrots imported from california, they were old, had hairs growing out of them. the juice they made was not so good. i decided i didn't like carrot juice anymore. then i got some freshly harvested carrots just recenlty, juiced those up and - wow! - was that good stuff. the difference between fresh and old was everything. also, buying produce locally seems better than transported form out of state.
