Day 5: This was a day about Thirst. I haven't been hungry for days -- hooray. But today I didn't feel much like putting anything in my mouth. As a result I didn't even drink water until I started to feel quite hungry with one of the very subtle beginnings of a headache I normally "self medicate" by eating a snack. I think I may have finally realized this is a cue for thirst (no dry mouth or "thirsty" feeling but if I'm getting un-hydrated enough my body complains). Egad all these years I've been eating in response to this cue. Eating works but is unnecessary calories. I got back on track with drinking enough water and the rest of the day was great. I feel half great I've figured this out about myself and half foolish I've misread this all these years.
