as i have explained before, i agree that brix readings are not exact precise measurements, no one is saying otherwise. you dont approach an apple orchard, take one brix reading and pronounce the entire orchard has "X brix readings" thats not how it works. you take a reading here, then over there, then anotehr over there. you average out the readings and you get a very accurate notion of the health of your orchard.
as for the term "high brix" that is used quite often by the followers of reams, because is the vast majority of situations, high readings are better readings. the charts provide more specific guidelines for professional growers to do more accurate work.

yes, no kidding. i never said otherwise. the brix is a general guidelines, not meant to take the place of other more precise lab readings. but most growers dont have fully staffed laboratories in their backyard, thats why a r-meter can be an invaluable tool.
