The only problem is the toxicity of boric acid. I was under the impression that it's fairly dangerous in large amounts, and so was a little nervous about using it on my scalp (where blood vessels pull it into the rest of one's body) for an extended period of time. I've heard of babies dying from boric acid being used in too-high concentration in diaper creme... ?
