Really not sure. I'm fairly certain it was linked to diet and health habits. She used tobacco, and drank beer. She also consumed salted meats and other potentially carcinogenic foods, so it would be difficult to say. While she tended to cook fresh foods, preparation style could have affected its overall quality in the end.
