I agree with most of what you post and cannot argue the points I could go either way on. One part of me wants to agree with them :-) The other cannot based upon my experience.

"According to what I've seen in your posts, you CERTAINLY have not ingested close to enough Iodine (in any form) to equal 50mgs a day for three months."

I have... I started Lugol's the third week in January, imediately at 50mg and tolerated it so well I went to 100mg and stayed there; with one seperate occaision of working up to 300mg and back down over a course of a week and three seperate occaisions of moving up to 200mg and backing back down. In one case I was at 200mg for over a week. It was only recently, perhaps a few weeks before I discontinued use that I went down to 50mg once again... it was not enough. If I was getting fluorine/bromine detox, why did the symptoms not subside, but instead got worse, as I dropped the dose? I dropped the dosing once again to 25mg and the symptoms just still slowly got worse. Once again, why? I would have expected them to subside quite a bit over the course of 2 weeks as I dropped the dosing, but they did not.

I was dosing well over 50mg a day for well over 3 months and one week shy of 4. During a few out of town excursions I was dosing this high with Iodorol.

"So statistically your body isn't yet eliminating excess iodine."

I disagree based upon my experience... but I cannot confirm it.

"You recently had knee/joint pain and bromine (?) detox symptoms, and you backed off the iodine...saying that you "felt" you were getting too much iodine. And when you stopped ingesting Lugol's the symptoms subsided and you "felt" much better. Can you infer logically that you were taking too much Iodine and that your symptoms were NOT other halogen detox? :::silly smirk::: Of course not...and methinks you know better than to draw that conclusion."

As implied above, I cannot, but I can make an educated guess based upon my experience. Could it be that I hit the mother load of halogen storage in my body, OR was it too much iodine? IF it was the mother load of halogen storage, why did the symptoms NOT decrease in intensity, or stop all together with the decreasing levels of iodine? This unanswered question leads me to believe that I had too much Iodine in my system. I cannot prove that though.

Some more...

When I first started increasing my iodine intake other than the 5 - 15mg I have been eating/taking for a good long while prior to Lugol's and iodorol, I noticed almost immediate benefits in the area of cardiovascular endurance, strength, clarity of mind, and skin.

My heart rate went down during intense exercise etc.

About 2 weeks before I put the brakes on the iodine supplementation, as I have stated, all of these benefits slowly began reversing on me. Since being off of the Lugol's (I am still eating seaweeds), all of the benefits have returned and then some... during my exercise routine this morning I could not get my heart rate above 126/128 beats per minute no matter what I did. That is the best ever...

I have decided that once I am 7 days post dosing, this Friday, I will go back to 1 drop a day in addition to my dietary ingestion and see what happens.

To be continued...
