Was your partner treated for chlamydia? Do you know if he was treated before you had sexual contact with him? If so, how long before? After treatment, it takes approximately 2 weeks to leave the body and be infection free.

Chlamydia is usually asymptomatic, meaning someone could be infected with it and not even know they have it. If symptoms are present (which they usually are not) pain while urinating is common. Chlamydia is very contageous. If he was infected at the time you gave him oral, you could have it and I suggest you get tested immediately. If you have contracted chlamydia and leave it untreated, it can lead to Pelvic Inflamatory Disease - PID - which causes serious problems to your internal reproductive system. It causes scarring of the fallopian tubes which in turn can cause infertility.

The earlirt chlamydia is caught the less damage it can do. I suggest you get tested!
