Good luck.
I think the Iodine will only really work if you have a good base to start from, diet and such. The people here with best results generally fit that pattern. Have you tried liver flushing? My dark circles always recede after a flush, and digestive troubles could certianly be related to liver (especially if overeating / eating the wrong thing). How are your eyes? Clear or red? Do you have any right arm pains or pains if you press under the right ribcage? Most everyone can benefit from a flush!

Bowel cleansing is also a must if you eat quite a bit (preferrably before a flush)

Try to avoid outside sources of fluroide (no tap water for drinking!) and halogens, including brominated flour in breads and oil in sodas.

Fundamentally, the best thing you can do to start is not iodine, its diet. But its certianly the hardest! Ive noticed that the better I eat and more consistenly well I eat the better I feel, but being a student money is sparse and temptations are high...

Avoid all artifical processed foods, sugar, aspartame, msg, soy products (except lecithing or fermented), more green salads with homemade dressing from proper oils (no margarine or sunflower or rapeseed or canola or vegetable oils - all poison!) Plenty of fresh raw fruit and veg. As you retrain your body to eat naturally it will want and need less, you'll taste the horrible chemically processed nature of foods MUCH more and avoid them in kind. Good clean meat and eggs and butter (imho, though others will think differently).

Gosh, I do ramble on...
