Arthur and others could find a well rounded recovery program by consulting www.gerson.org, 619-685-5359 and reading the book THE GERSON THERAPY, by Charlotte (Gerson's daughter) and Morton Walker. The program requires 10 freshly squeezed veggie juices per day and coffee enemas -- 1 to 4 per day. The coffee enemas stimulate the liver to excrete bile. General rule is 3 juices for every enema. 2 Tbls of flax seed oil goes with diet.
For Arthur the coffee enemas may be a good substitute for the Epson salts/grapefruit/oil mix.
I recovered from colon cancer (1978) using Gerson program.
