I have been reading all about the liver/gallbladder flush and many people's successes. Had an ultrasound done today of my gallbladder due to the 4 f's (Female, forty, flabby, flatulent, thank you Dr. Blizzard for the easy and encouraging way to remember!) and pain in July that sent me to emergency. Turns out that I do have stones. The good Dr. has suggested elective surgery, but I have had a flush planned all along for Friday. My blood work showed that my cholesterol is up, too. After re-reading Dr. Clark's info, that would stand to reason. I guess I am a little scared that a stone is going to get lodged on the way out and I will end up with surgery anyway. Does anyone know how often this happens? I have always been a big proponent of natural medicine, but now that I am getting to be the age where "things happen" more often it seems a little scarier. One more thing, the tech that did my ultra sound said that the liver doesn't have stones. It is frustrating to be so completly on the other side of conventional medicine and it's beliefs. Is the tech just misinformed? Or does the med community believe that the liver really doesn't develop stones? If the gallbladder is removed and the SAD diet continues, where do the stones stack up? The liver?

Thanks to anyone who can lend an encouraging word.
