When my daughter awoke me suddenly one morning with a screaming cry, IT was what almost killed me one morning. I fed her, then I laid back down. My heart slowed down so much that I had started to black out. Fortunately, I suddenly remembered something my mother had taught me, (I'll bet she was there at the time, she had passed over just a month and a half before this occurred). She had taught me that sucking in air hard will increase oxygen in the lungs, and speed up the heart.

I have (er, HAD) "a minor case of Long-QT Syndrome" in which a sudden noise or scare causes the heart to go into a sudden and severe arrythmia...it makes you feel like the heart is "skipping a beat". I don't remember what QT literally stands for, but it is a prolonged (and life-threatening) hesitation between beats. My doctor of the day said my case was non-life-threatening; I feel that my diagnosis being described as "minor" and "non-life-threatening" was God's way of protecting me from being classified as "uninsurable".

This syndrome developed when I was breastfeeding - Gee, after I was no longer getting the pre-natal vitamins (which had more Iodine than regular vitamins) and I had moved from the countryside (with a natural spring-fed well) into the city where I drank copious amounts of TAP water! Talk about setting your body up for failure!

I thank you, for describing that so well. About the loud noises! YES! No more problems with that...not even the slightest "sense" that a problem will ensue! Sometimes, we need to be reminded just how bad we had it - because for ME, I NEED to have a sense of APPRECIATION for what God has done for me!

God is not only GOOD...heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee's GRRRRRRREEEEAAAAAAT!
